The Northern Cape department of education says that getting learners enrolled early is key to a smooth start in the upcoming school year.  This follows the announcement that online admissions portal will be open effective from 15 April 2024. The department says, parents will only have 30 days to submit an admission application as the portal closes on 15 May 2024. Learner placements will be done according to the geographic location and will also be based on the learner capacity of schools. The department has made a call to parents to act swiftly in ensuring that applications are submitted during the open window period.
