The provincial police in partnership with stakeholders hosted an imbizo at the Multi-Purpose Centre in Sunrise, De Aar yesterday. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says in attendance were provincial heads, station commanders and police officers from units and components in the Pixley Ka Seme district. Kock says the purpose of the meeting was to discuss plans to fight crime. He says the deputy provincial commissioner for policing major general Luntu Ngubelanga addressed gender based violence and femicide specifically contact crimes such as rapes and murders.
