The Northern Cape Department of
Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform says, six newly qualified Veterinarians have joined the Veterinary Services of the department. Phemelo Manankong, spokesperson of the department, says this initiative is part of the
Government’s Compulsory Community Service (CCS) programme. He says the CCS programme
offers the newly qualified veterinarians the opportunity to render their much-needed
services to rural areas and to gain valuable experience and knowledge - under
the supervision of qualified veterinary doctors. Manankong elaborates on the
