A 39-year-old suspect has been arrested by the Bothitong police for the murder of a 22-year-old woman. According to a police statement, the victim's body was discovered in a culvert on the Cassel or Louwna road in Bothitong on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

According to preliminary investigations, the victim was allegedly assaulted at the suspect's house in Cassel village, tied up, and then transported in the boot of a vehicle before being dumped under the culvert.

 

The suspect is set to appear in the Mothibistad Magistrates Court on Friday, January 10, 2025.
