The Premier's office in Northern Cape successfully organized a Provincial Inter-Sectoral Meeting yesterday, 29 August, 2024, aimed at enhancing the functionality and sustainability of Thusong Service Centers. This meeting, supported by Provincial Service Delivery Departments, follows decisions made at the National Inter-Sectoral Steering Committee meetings held in Kimberley in April 2023 and Bloemfontein in April 2024. Reports indicates that the forum is designed to support municipalities and Center Managers in delivering essential government services to rural and underserved communities. It also serves as a platform for sharing best practices, achievements, and challenges related to the Thusong Service Centers, which were established to improve access to services and information for historically marginalized citizens.
