According
to Energy Expert Chris Yelland, SolarAfrica Energy is set to build a R5-billion
solar project called SunCentral in the Northen Cape. The project aims to
generate 343 MegaWatt of clean, renewable electricity, surpassing Solar
Capital's De Aar compound. With plans to expand to 1,000 MW in phases,
SolarAfrica aims to become a renewable energy powerhouse. According to
MybroadBand, the project is part of Eskom's strategic partnership with the private
sector, including Vodacom, to drive a more rational, market-driven approach to
electricity pricing. The project aims to deliver clean, cost-effective energy
and pave the way for a sustainable, equitable energy future for all South
Africans.
