Five suspects have been arrested as part
of Operation Commando. According to a statement, this operation, a collaborative effort involving the
Road Traffic Management Corporation, an anti-corruption unit, and local police,
is currently targeting the traffic license department in Kimberley. Authorities
has conducted raids on the department's offices yesterday as they work to
dismantle a syndicate reportedly involved in the issuance of fraudulent driving
licenses between the Free State and Northern Cape provinces. Informations indicates that the operation aims
to enhance road safety and integrity within the licensing process. Details
regarding the identities of those arrested and further information on the
investigation are expected to be released in the coming days. The operation
underscores the ongoing commitment of law enforcement to combat corruption and
uphold the law within the region.
