The Siyathemba local municipality in Marydale led by the Speaker of the District Council, Councillor Sintu convened the Council Meets the People yesterday at the Marydale ,Community Hall. The municipality says this meeting was aimed at providing feedback to the community with matters that were raised on a previous meeting with regards to service delivery and development within the area. Members of the community also shared their frustrations and service delivery issues to the council and sector department stakeholders in the meeting with further issues raised including Unemployment, especially among the youth, Water Issues, the Police Station where allegedly only 12 Hour shifts are worked. The contents of the feedback are still to be made known.
