Police arrested a 21 year old Lesotho national for alleged possession of uncut diamonds in Kleinsee yesterday, the 18th June 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says police conducted routine inspections at a vehicle check point near Kleinsee stopped and searched the suspect and found suspected uncut diamonds in his possession. Sam says the suspect could not provide a reasonable explanation for the possession of the suspected diamonds and could also not provide the immigration officials with documentation of being legally in the country. He says the suspect will appear in court soon.
