The Association for Mathematics Education of South Africa (AMESA), in collaboration with the sol plaaitjie university and the Northern Cape Department of Education, yesterday began its congress on the university's campus and will be continuing with their congress till Friday 21 June 2024. The university provides in an official statement that the significance of this congress is to unite Maths Educators from across South Africa, featuring leading mathematics teachers, materials and technology developers, national and international researchers, and government advisers and have these experts present on policy directions, research findings, and innovative teaching ideas and materials towards improving the quality of education delivered to learners across the country.
