The Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform is spearheading a two day orientation and induction workshop to capacitate Unemployed Agricultural Graduates is underway in Barkley West outside Kimberley. The department states that the purpose of the orientation and induction is to equip the graduates to better understand the various labour and employment related issues. Malebogo Mocwiri, Training and Capacity Building Unit Deputy Director, for the department Agriculture alluded that the induction of these graduates  is also the mandate as per the Unemployed Agricultural Graduates Framework document. Mocwiri further highlighted that the presence and participation of host farmers in this session plays a critical role, as it simplifies the understanding of the program and what is expected from all role players.
