Police says the RPO Northern Cape hosted the 2024 congress and conference at the Flamingo Casino in Kimberley from the 5th to the 6th June 2024. Police spokesperson Lieutenant Sergio Kock says the event supported by the agri Northern Cape and was also attended by the Northern Cape provincial commisioner Lieutenant general Koliswa Otola. Kock says Sergeant Jannie Barend of Calvinia STESU was awarded the best investigating officer award. He says Calvinia STESU received the prize for the best stock theft and endangered species unit in the Northern Cape. Kock says police officials were recognized for their outstanding performance in curbing stock theft and endangered species related crimes in the province.
