The Campbell police recently arrested a 49-year-old hitchhiker who was found in possession of drugs. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says, acting on information about a suspicious individual on the N8 national road from Kimberley to Campbell, the police set up a monitoring post and identified a vehicle with four occupants, including the driver. Sam says, upon searching the vehicle, they discovered ten zip bags of dagga and a suspected firearm. The suspect has been charged with illegal drug possession and will appear in Campbell magistrate’s court soon.
