The South African Police Service says during Operation Vala Umgodi on June 4th, 2024, they arrested a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in Valspan, Jan Kempdorp, for possession of suspected drugs. Sergeant Molefi Shemane, the police spokesperson, reported that crystal meth (tik) with an estimated street value of R7,400 was confiscated, along with cash believed to be proceeds from criminal activity. He says another suspect, a 44-year-old woman was arrested for obstructing police duties and resisting arrest. Shemane says all three suspects will soon appear in the Jan Kempdorp magistrate’s court.
