The Pixley Ka Seme Municipality observed child protection week in line with the national theme, Protecting South African Children, 30 years on. According to an official statement by the municipality Councilor Lulamile Nkumbi accompanied by Councilor Toto Mvenya yesterday led the Child Protection week commemoration event for the municipality at Zingisani Primary School in De Aar. The department says the commemoration of child protection week these officials addressed the learners at the school in an advocacy session and furthermore planted trees on the school grounds to the benefit of learners through enhancing their environment. Learners at the school were also given their own opportunity to give presentations on safety measures for them to follow during dangerous situations.
