In a commendable effort to support underprivileged children in the community, Karoshoek Solar One is continuing with its WALK-a-child-to-school project. The solar plant aims to donate 1412 school shoes with socks to 15 schools within the Dawid Kruiper and !Kheis local municipalities. Pitso Monyeki spokesperson and manager for the socio-economic development department recently announced that this coming week their next stop will be to deliver 46 pairs of school shoes to the Valkoppies Primary School located in Strausburg Upington. Monyeki goes on to say that the project spearheaded by KS1 is one of the multiple projects the solar plant plans to implement this year. He ends by saying KS1 is committed to supporting the local community and ensuring that every child has the necessary resources to succeed in their educational journey.
