Media Liaison Officer in the office of the MEC of the  Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform, Bongani Silingile says that the Comprehensive Agricultural Support Programme that is currently open for new applications aims to provide financial and technical assistance, Support infrastructure development, market access, and training and to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve food security. Silingile further says that the Llima/Letsema Grant, also open for new applications will offer funding for agricultural inputs and resources, provide supports for projects aimed at increasing crop and livestock production and focuses on enhancing the livelihoods of rural communities. Silingile strongly encourages those who applied in the past but were not selected, to apply again this year, as each application cycle is unique. He says the department will provide support and guidance to applicants.
