Kathu regional court sentenced 3 men for rape and kidnapping of an 11 year old girl recently. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the victim was at a tuckshop in Kuruman when she was accosted by the 3 accused a 25, 31 and 31 year old men who raped her multiple times behind the premises and again at a nearby stadium on the 2nd June 2013 at one o’clock in the afternoon. Kock says Emmanuel Modise was sentenced to 22 years imprisonment for rape and 7 years imprisonment for kidnapping, Ditebogo Tshegodikae was sentenced to 22 years imprisonment for rape and 7 years imprisonment for kidnapping and Patrick Gaebetse was sentenced to an effective 20 years for rape and kidnapping.
