The MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture in the Northern Cape gave over football, rugby and netball clubs in vosburg,williston and sutherland. The department says that the purpose of this event  was for communities to have all the tools, know-how, and resources necessary to support them and view sports and recreation as lifetime pursuits that enhance their well-being. The department provides that they through this event offered various avenues for person development to youth both during and after the school year. Furthermore the mec committed to providing   Funding for the National Darts Tournament in June 2024 to the Namakwa Darts Federationin support of the further skills development of these participating youth.
