The Northern Cape Provincial Government is conducting the official inauguration of Kgosi Tumo Hastings Jantjie of the Batlhaping ba ga Jantjie Traditional Community in the Manyeding Village, they will also host the second phase of the correction of status and elevation of the traditional leaders as was announced by Premier Dr Zamani Saul. MEC Bentley Vass responsible for the Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs – COGHSTA – in the Northern Cape, explains..........INSERT (MEC VASS) The Provincial government provides in an official statement that during the second phase four Senior Traditional Leaders of the Batlhaping ba ga Phuduhutswana namely the Ba ga Jantjie, Ba ga Phetlhu, Ba ga Mahura, and Ba ga Thaganyane will be elevated to the position of Principal Traditional Leaders and a total of nine headmen will be elevated to senior traditional leaders.
