The Deputy Minister in the Presidency Kenny Morolong is scheduled to  launch the Loeriesfontein Thusong Service Centre in Hantam Local Municipality today. Accoridng to an official statement by GCIS, the Deputy Minister will be accompanied by the Executive Mayor of the Namakwa District Municipality, Councillor Mervin Cloete and the Executive Mayor of Hantam Local Municipality, Councillor Koos Alexander. It is further indicated that the launch of this Thusong Centre, which is a joint venture with business, will bring government services and information closer to the people of Loeriesfontein and will be implemented against the backdrop of the country's commemoration of 30 years of Freedom under the theme, 30 Years of Democracy, Partnership and Growth. The GCIS says the establishment of the Loeriesfontein Thusong Service Centre is one of the initiatives made possible through the private partnerships established between the Northern Cape Office of the Premier, Loeriesfontein 2 & Khobab Wind Farm, and the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS).
