The MEC for the department of roads and public works Fufe Makatong and Premier Dr Zamani Saul, are today officiating the 20 Year Celebration of EPWP, provincial launch of EPWP Phase 5 and a Certification Ceremony, acknowledging young people who qualified as professional artisans through the Department Apprenticeship Program. It is expected that more than 1000 EPWP Beneficiaries will attend this event at the AR Abass stadium in kimberely. Makatong expressed her pride in this program and said that the conclusion of the current EPWP Phase 4, has culminated in good stories which saw most of the EPWP Beneficiaries using the skills they gained through the program, to run their own businesses. She further adds that more than 100 000 jobs have been created in the last quarter through the EPWP program.
