Loxton school community has new school.

The department of education in the Northern Cape says the MEC for Education in the Northern Cape, Zolile Monakali yesterday inaugurated the new JJ Booysen Primary School in Loxton. The department says, the construction of this school followed a fire incident in 2017 that destroyed five classrooms, affecting 200 learners at the time. The department further says, the new school now boasts eight classrooms, a science lab, an ICT lab, and a library, among other facilities. According to the department, during the opening of Rooirand Primary School in Barkly West, Premier Dr. Zamani Saul announced the Northern Cape provincial government’s objective to build a total of 23 new schools across the province.
