A 55 year old grandfather was sentenced to 7 years  imprisonment in Upington recently for the rape of his 15 year old granddaughter. Police spokesperson sergeant Omphile Masegela says the victim was staying with her grandparents and during the night of 13 August 2023, she was at home and went to use the toilet around half past twelve in the night when her grandfather raped her. Masegela says the victim reported incident to her grandmother the next morning and reported it to the police. Masegela says the following - - - "Insert" (GRANDFATHER)
