The South African Police Service says, the 30 year old Allesandro Swanepoel was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Kimberley regional court for violently robbing two victims of their cellphones. According to the police, the incidents happened between 15 and 18 May 2023 in and around Whit City, Roodepan. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says the accused also known as "Pankies," terrorized the Roodepan community near tuck shops in White City. Sam says the suspect would be to prey on victims that were walking alone in the streets and rob them of their belongings. He says the court declared him unfit to possess a firearm.
