The department of education in the Northern Cape says the Esteddfod District Competitions in the Pixley Ka Seme district kicked off today. The department says the SASCE provincial school choir competition will be held today and tomorrow at the De Aar Town Hall in the Pixley Ka Isaka Seme District. The department says three categories—the infants, foundation phase, and the intermediate phase are the categories that the schools will compete in the district contests. The department says as a result, there will be 12 primary schools, 9 secondary schools, 8 conductors, and 16 educators participating. It is anticipated that 700 primary school students and 480 secondary school students would adorn De Aar Town Hall.
