The Kimberley district court recently handed down a 1 year prison sentence to a 52 year old man Dikeletso Shashape following the contravention of the conditions issued against him by insulting a 50 year old victim who was in a domestic relationship with him on the 8th December 2022. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says the victim who was in possession of a domestic violence protection order reported the contravention to the police and the accused was arrested. The court also declared the accused unfit to possess a firearm.
