The Warrenton regional court handed down a 3 year direct prison sentence to a 23 year old woman Ipeleng Tonyane following her failure to provide her 1-year-old baby with basic needs in Ikhutseng, on the 6th September 2022. The court heard that the accused left her baby in the care of her aunt and returned after 2 months to claim the child's grant money from the aunt.
