Mine employs and places teacher assistants at schools in JTG

The Northern Cape Department of Education says that it acknowledge and recognize the valuable contribution of Kumba Iron Ore Mine (Sishen) for employing and placing more than 50 teacher assistants in host community schools in the John Toalo Gaetsewe District. The department states that these teacher assistants will assist with reading and sports at the schools. Additionally, the department states that the Sishen Mine has also indicated interest in assisting the department with the building of a second high school in Kathu.  The Northern Cape department of education has expressed  gratitude towards the mine for its contributions towards communities and for prioritizing education in the province.
