Police arrested over 350 suspects during the Operation Shanela which commenced on the 6 the 12 May 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says several vehicles check points and roadblocks were conducted across the province.Sam says operational successes achieved in the arrest of 246 suspects for attempted murder, assault, burglary, illegal possession of firearm, malicious damage to property, illegal dealing in liquor, possession of dangerous weapons, dealing in and possession of drugs, illicit mining, stock theft and undocumented illegal immigrants.
