Mec of roads and public works fufe makatong gives overview of the departments investments

The Department of Roads and Public Works in the Northern Cape says, it continues to construct and maintain infrastructure in various parts of the province including the infrastructure and roads in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District. In light hereof the department reports to have implemented several of these projects which have acted as a catalyst in creating several job opportunities. The MEC of the department recently outlined the investments which are being made in the province and provides that since 2020 to 2024 they have invested R60, 8 million in community development which included the constructing of essential facilities like schools, hospitals, and clinics. The MME also provides that the department currently is working with a further investment of R374 million for the construction of the Kalahari high school, Magojaneng and the Bankhara Bodulong primary school which is expected to make provision for 162 job opportunities in the relevant communities.
