Communal Property Associations (CPA’s) encouraged to put their differences aside

The MEC for the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development in the Northern Cape, Mase Manopole and the Director General of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, DG Mooketsi Ramasodi together with Senior Officials met with members of the Communal Property Associations. According to information, the gathering was in an attempt to assist the CPA’s to put their differences aside for the benefit of future generations. CPAs and Organised Agriculture were given a platform to raise their problems to the MEC and the rest of the delegation. MEC Manopole has according to information highlighted that the government is willing to lend a hand with land issues such as infrastructure, biodiversity, and natural resource management necessary, however infighting stalls development. Manopole said that misunderstandings pose a serious threat to development and stalls economic spin-offs to various communities.
