The South African Police Service in Upington says, the mother of the infant whose body was found in a nearby veld in Leerkrans in 2023 has not been found yet. Upington police spokesperson, sergeant Omphile Masegela says, the police have registered an inquest docket following the incident where a dog allegedly arrived at home with a skull of a newborn baby on the 18th July 2023. Masegela says the owner of the dog alerted the police and investigations were instituted which led to the rest of the body found in the nearby veld. Masegela says the mother of the baby is still unknown and the police request members of the community to assist with information that could lead to the arrest.....INSERT (LEERKRANS)
