Ramaphosa Calls on Private Sector to invest in ECD

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on the private sector to invest more in Early Childhood Development. Speaking at the Bana Pele Leadership Summit in Sandton, Ramaphosa said over 1.3 million children aged three to five are not enrolled in any early learning programme. He said businesses can help by subsidizing fees, upgrading centers and funding training for practitioners. He said early learning is vital for addressing inequality and supporting working families, especially women who run ECD centers.
