Education department to host its provincial pledge signing ceremony
The department of education will host its provincial pledge signing ceremony on Friday, the 9th October 2026 at the Kakamas high school. The event will start at eight o’clock in the morning. Provincial spokesperson Mr. Geoffrey van der Merwe says this is an important occasion, where 15267 Grade 12 learners will undertake a pledge for a national senior certificate examination, free of any irregularity. Van der Merwe says the department of education continues to improve appropriate standards and strengthen initiatives to deepen the maturity of the examination assessment system. He says they have continued to identify and curb threats to mitigate the examination and assessment’s credibility. According to information, MEC for education Mr. Abraham Vosloo will officiate the provincial pledge signing ceremony.
