Cape Town Tourist Goes Missing in Augrabies Falls National Park
A 66-year-old male
tourist from Cape Town has been reported missing in the Augrabies Falls
National Park. He checked into the park on Thursday, April 10, 2025, and was
believed to have gone hiking on Friday, April 11, 2025. When he failed to
return by 16:30, park rangers raised concerns and promptly reported the matter
to the Augrabies SAPS. A comprehensive search operation has been launched,
involving multiple units such as the SAPS Airwing, Upington Search and Rescue
Unit, Upington K9 Unit, and a drone pilot.
The police are urging
anyone with information to come forward and assist in locating the missing
person. All information will be handled confidentially as the police work to
ensure the safe return of the missing tourist.
