Pofadder police arrested 2 suspects with stolen items
The swift response by Pofadder police led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman on 12 March 2025. The suspects were found in possession of suspected stolen electronic equipment valued at approximately R50,000.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock stated that it is believed that the suspects broke into the local health clinic in Blyvoor Uitsig, Pofadder. Authorities were alerted to the scene and, upon arrival, identified an Omoda SUV suspected to be involved in the crime.
A high-speed pursuit ensued on the N14 road towards Aggenys, approximately 10km outside Pofadder, where police successfully intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the suspects. Kock shares further details:
