Philipstown Court Sentences Man to 20 Years for Raping Elderly Woman

The Philipstown Magistrate’s Court has handed down a 20 year sentence to 46-year-old Daniel Williams for the rape of a 76-year-old woman in Petrusville. 

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Sergio Kock, the incident occurred on December 3, 2023, when the elderly victim and her husband visited Williams in Petrusville. While the husband went to a nearby shop, Williams took advantage of the situation, forcefully raping the woman before fleeing the scene.

On March 7, 2025, the court found Williams guilty and sentenced him to 20 years behind bars. His name has also been added to the National Register for Sex Offenders.
