Pixley Ka Seme District Hosts Whippery Forum for Municipal Collaboration
The Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality hosted the District Whippery Forum yesterday at its boardroom, led by the District Municipality Whip of Council, Councillor Koos Gous.
According to the municipality, the forum served as a key platform for collaboration and information sharing among chief whips to enhance the efficient management of district affairs.
Representatives from Pixley Ka Seme, Renosterberg, Kareeberg, and Umsobomvu Local Municipalities attended the forum in person, while Siyancuma, Emthanjeni, and Ubuntu Local Municipalities participated virtually.
The municipality says, the forum also provided an opportunity for the District Council Whip to outline the roles and responsibilities of council whips and explain their interaction with the offices of the Mayor, Speaker, and Whip.
