Tourism Resilience in South Africa Workshop Hosted in Upington
Local tourism stakeholders and academic experts are meeting in Upington today to discuss strategies for enhancing the resilience of South Africa’s tourism sector.
Presentations by North-West University and the University of Venda will provide insights into sustainable tourism practices, crisis management, and adaptive strategies aimed at ensuring long-term industry growth and stability.
The engagement is part of a national initiative to equip the sector with research-driven solutions, helping it withstand economic and environmental challenges while continuing to support local and national economies.
The Tourism Resilience Workshop is hosted by the National Department of Tourism in partnership with the Northern Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
