School Disruptions in Magareng and Phokwane: Education Department Calls for Learners to Return
The Northern Cape Department of Education has confirmed that teaching and learning were disrupted at 15 schools in the Magareng and Phokwane municipal areas today, allegedly due to the actions of the SGB Forum.
While educators reported for duty, no learners were present. In response, the District Office has directed principals to issue notices to parents, urging them to send their children to school from tomorrow.
Geoffrey Van Der Merwe, the department’s media liaison officer, provides further details.
