The determination by police in the ZF Mgcawu district led to a major dagga bust at Nakop border post in the early morning hours of Sunday, the 25th June 2023. Police spokesperson sergeant Omphile Masegela says Upington border police selected a truck for a secondary inspection during an operation at the border post. Masegela says upon searching the truck that was departing from RSA to Namibia 11 boxes were discovered stashed among others within the load that was in transit. She says police searched through the boxes and 141 parcels containing 144,340kg of dagga to the estimated value of R 3 608 500.00 were found. Masegela says a Namibian national truck driver was arrested for drug trafficking and will appear in court soon. Masegela says the following ... "Insert" (DAGGA)
