The Department of Roads and Public Works on social media showed off the showcasing of its youth development programmes yesterday at the Career Fair which took place at the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley. They added that the Department remains committed and innovative to eradicate youth unemployment in the province through the implementation of apprenticeship, learnership and internship programs and to further showcase the efforts of the department , a statement was also posted indicating that the department is currently busy conducting spot-regraveling on the DR3463 road between Severn and
Concordia, for a distance of 15 kilometers, in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District. In the furtherance of their commitment to eradicate youth unemployment ,through this project a total of 50 participants, 22 women and 23 youth have been employed and are doing vegetation control along the DR3463 road from Madibeng to Concordia through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). Vegetation control being a project that started during February 2023 and will continue for the next few months.
