Provincial police urged members of the community to use the opportunity made possible for them to prevent the loss of lives. Police in partnership with the community policing Forum (CPF) and other role-players drove the awareness campaign in the province where police encourage community members to share valuable information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators. Police spokesperson colonel Cherelle Ehlers says the purpose of the campaign was to create awareness regarding the tuck-shop operating times, sales of the expired food and school safety.
