The Consumer Protection Authority, in partnership with Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS) along with other stakeholders, held a program yesterday at the Upington taxi rank. An official from the provincial office, Advocate Peet Olivier, stated that the purpose of the program is to inform the community of Upington about their rights and obligations when purchasing goods and that the Consumer Protection Authority in the Northern Cape is there to protect them. Olivier says the following.
