Members of the community in Upington commented in women empowerment. This after ANC women’s league (ANCWL) secretary-general Nokuthula Nqaba called on their mother body to recommit to its 60-40 gender parity principle. She delivered an address at the Albertina Sisulu memorial lecture in Soweto yesterday, the 21st October 2024. According to information, Sisulu was born on the 21st October 1918, she was the only woman invited to the formation of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) in 1944 and was also part of the 1956 anti-pass march at the Union Buildings in Pretoria. Nqaba called on women in the organization to support each other for leadership positions. Members of the community say the following
