The Minister of Agriculture together with the premier, Dr Zamani Saul will lead the commemoration of World Food Day at Delportshoop in the Northern Cape. The theme for the commemoration of World Food day is “Right to food for a better life and a better future”. The department states that the theme is based on the fact that even though world farmers produce enough food to feed more than the global population hunger is still an issue or many. Information states that the main objective of World Food Day is to promote global awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and to highlight the need to ensure healthy diet for all. The days’ activities will kick off at ten o’clock tomorrow morning where the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nokuzola Capa and MEC Mase Manopole.
