Historic Victory for Northern Cape Schools in National Moot Court Competition

The Kimberley Technical High School has secured top spots in the 2024 National Schools Moot Court Programme. This marks the first time in 13 years that the Northern Cape has reached such heights in the competition. Kimberley Technical High School took home the first runner-up position. According to Outlwile Mohlakoana, a learner from the Technical High School, this year's topic focused on unequal educational access to newer equipment, a theme chosen by the Department of Justice. Mohlakoana and her partner, Lethabo Moreeng, excelled in the written essays, paving their way to the oral rounds. Mohlakoana credited their principal, Mr. Ludick, for his unwavering support, which she says helped her overcome personal challenges and secure their position in the finals.
