The Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform in the Northern Cape  recently convened for a three day Departmental Strategic Planning Session with partners from national and provincial departments, as well as senior management. Information states that this planning session yielded valuable insights and actionable recommendations aimed at advancing the objectives of the 7th Administration under the leadership of MEC Mase Manopole. The session's objectives included evaluating sector performance in relation to government priorities, and formulating the 2025/26 Annual Performance Plan alongside a comprehensive five-year strategic framework to enhance service delivery.  In Her opening address on day two, Thursday, September 26, 2024, MEC Manopole emphasized the importance of assessing the department’s impact in improving lives, alleviating poverty, and addressing food and nutrition insecurity.
