National Recycling Day will be commemorated on Friday, 20 September 2024. As part of these commemorations, the Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa invites individuals, households, schools, and businesses to join hands in this recycling revolution. Samantha Choles PAMSAs communications manager elaborates:

Choles says, every small action adds up. The latest paper recycling statistics from PAMSA reveal that around 1.3 million tonnes of paper and paper packaging were collected for recycling in 2023, out of a recoverable pool of 1.8 million tonnes:

She says, while progress has been made, there's still room for growth. Local residents explains as they anticipate to celebrate National Recycling, they encourage to reaffirm the commitment to embracing a greener future.
